This is not a Qintet // Astrological Libretto

 

In collaboration with director and choreographer Selma Banich,

my role was to calculate an astrological chart for a contemporary dance play - on the day, time and place - of their first rehearsal.

 

Based on the natal chart of the play,

we came to the idea for a - Astrological Libretto - for the time and space of the play.

 

During the rehearsals, the dance performers from the play had the freedom to express themselves intuitively. We noticed that each of them started to behave like a different planet from the chart according to aspects in astrology.

 

Through dance, they where showing the same communication that the planets in the chart were emanating through the formation of various aspects.
